Default BRAT diet

Sorry if this is TMI, but... DS and I are both on the BRAT diet. He's had diarea for 4 days (I'm bfing.) He's been on the BRAT diet for 3 days and I have for 1. FINALLY he had a regular poop this morning. So, do we still need to eat BRAT only or can we start eating real food?

Any ideas for a good BRAT meal? (for lunch we had toast with applesauce spread on.)

I think you need to gradually reintroduce other foods. Keep with it for another 24 hours, though, I'd say. Bananas, Rice, applesauce, toast, crackers. I'd probably introduce cheese as well, since it's constipating, but a little harder on the stomach. Good luck - it's no fun, I know!

You could also try yogurt. Or what about some pasta with a little parmesan cheese?
