I need to replace my current high chair, which I hate, and would welcome any recommendations that anyone has. Don't want to spend more than $100. Thanks!

Skip the high chair & just get the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster! http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-H...5572962&sr=8-1
Gets rave reviews on the BBB - it's all we ever had at our house & I love it! It fits on any chair, so it was easy to use on our dining room chairs, or our counter height kitchen table chairs. Easy to pack up and take on vacation, to friend's house, etc. & most of all...it's easy to clean! No nooks or crannies to catch crumbs & if worse comes to worse, you can throw the whole thing in the shower & rinse it off. I even bought extra feeding trays, so I could just throw one in the dishwasher after each meal & throw a new one on. Oh, and it's cheap!

What do you have and why do you hate it? That might help you get some more targeted recommendations. We use a Tripp Trapp now, which is more than $100, but I have used the IKEA white plastic Antilop high chair and really liked it. Totally bare bones, but cheap, small footprint, and super easy to clean.

I have 3 of the Fisher Price boosters you mentioned (for my in-home day care). I agree they are totally wonderful. I need a high chair that doesn't have to be attached to a chair due to lack of adequate seating. I also need something more infant friendly.
I currently have a Graco mealtime that I got on clearance. The seat pad is made of both fabric and a wipeable material, but you can't put it in the washer when the fabric gets dirty. Plus the frame is takes up a lot of room and is hard to clean due to many cracks, crevices and small corners. Thanks again for your help.

I've heard good things about the FP Easy Clean and Healthy Care. Both are under $100.

Ikea Antilop - $20 plus $5 for the tray if you want it. The baby needs to be able to sit up reasonably well on their own to use it - there is no recline. I bought it because I couldn't handle the grime on my F-P Space Saver high chair (the high chair that straps on a regular chair - not the booster). It is all hard plastic so it just wipes clean.

I always recommend the Graco Contempo, but if the mixed fabric/wipeable seat cover bothers you, I bet you wouldn't like it for that reason. It hasn't bothered us but, then, our kid is a pretty tidy eater.
We bought and donated several of the bare-bones IKEA ones for our church. We use them there and they've been perfectly fine. If we were just buying one for an older baby who could sit up steady, we'd go with that. (We got the Contempo before Sprog could sit up straight, just so she could keep us company. It has a nice recline.)

So wish we had an IKEA. I've heard their high chairs are great. We do need the recline for baby #3 whose on the way soon. Thanks for the advice ladies. I'm going to go take a look at the Contempo and the Fisher Price Rainforest. They were both ones I had looked at online. Glad to hear that people like them.
