Ugh... I wish that fold was slimmer. Your review makes it so tempting but I really need something that doesn't take up my whole trunk. I guess I am still stuck with my vibe.

What was most important to me was the quality, ability to transform from a double to a single, reversible seats, and 4 air wheel all terrain ride. I resisted buying other SBS's because most of them did not meet my qualifications.

I posted a thread asking and was TOTALLY shot down because of the price but if you add up the three strollers its way more money. Do you think its worth it for one child? (we plan on more but who knows) I loved your review! Makes me want one even more! WWYD?
It's interesting because, yes, it is expensive, BUT... a) you CAN find a discount if you're a smart shopper (and I know eagletmom is ), b) when you've been through enough strollers, you get to the point where you know what you want and it's worth it to spend the money, c) resale on something like a donkey is going to be fairly good, so while you'll still be spending a chunk o change in the end, it's not going to be that much more over the long run than some of the other strollers, d) it serves the purpose of more than one stroller, so it does work well. I'm not sure if I would buy it as a single, becasue you never know what will happen. By the time I had my second, my first refused to ride, but for two riders, I'd seriously consider it

Thanks for the review and pics! I hope you continue to love it.

If my kids weren't gigantic and/or I needed a double and/or I had the money, I'd definitely consider the donkey. Too bad none of those things are true!

Thanks poohbear, I couldn't have said it better myself :-)
No the donkey isn't for everyone, but neither is the Xplory, cameleon, orbit etc. I plan to use it as a single stroller as well since my 2nd rider is already 4. But as you can see from my pics even my 6 yo jumped in for a little while. It's always nice to have an extra seat for tired little legs :-)

I got my donkey at Hip Baby Gear. Rick Winter is the owner there, he does have an online store, if you don't live in MA. He willl take good care of you ;-)

They had my donkey all set up and ready to go when I got to the store, as always it was a wonderful shopping experience. They also have a great points system that rewards you with $25 for every $350 you spend, which can come in handy when you want to buy accessories.
