Default Is the kids Aerobed safe to use for 16 month old?

We have the one with the bumper on the sides to keep them from rolling out. My 16 mo old DD is still in a crib but we're going on vacation and not sure how well she'll sleep in the pack n play. Can't order anything else since we're leaving soon so just wondering if you think this would be safe to use for her?

No way would I do it. A pack n play will keep a child that age much safer - less free to roam! We brought them out of the PnP at 35" which was over 2-2.5.

We have the kids aerobed and I didn't start using it until DS1 was a few months shy of 3. This year for vacation he'll still use it (he's almost 5), and DS2 who will be 22 months will be in a pnp - I wouldn't trust him on the aerobed, he needs to be contained.

Are you staying in a hotel? At a house? At that age, we either co-slept (with the bed shoved against the wall if it wasn't big enough for a parent on each side) or, when we stayed at an Embassy Suites with a sofa, we turned the sofa around to face the wall and put DD2 there. I took the cushions out and just put a sheet on it, so she couldn't get wedged in between cushions and so it wasn't too soft. She couldn't climb out because of the high sofa back and high arm rests. She was 15 months old then.

I used a pack n play for both of my kids up to age 3 with no problems and draped a sheet over when I needed to darken the sleeping area. I always washed the sheet in our current detergent so it smelled familiar.(

We used the Kid's Aerobed with my oldest starting at 14 months with no problem. Granted, he was already in a toddler bed at this point. My younger two kids have used pack-n-plays up until they were 2 years old since they were in cribs then. In your situation, I'd probably bring the pack-n-play. Could you bring both?
