What worked for my son (he HATED pull ups) was to tell him that if he had to get out of bed more than once for potty, that he would need to change into pull ups. IE Encourage him to really make sure he got everything out with that first trip because if he got out again, we'd change him into pullups and there'd be no getting out of bed. Period.
We only had to put pullups on him once. It stopped. (Though we have a similar problem now that we are struggling with -- it just has nothing to do with going potty. he keeps getting out of bed for reasons that are, frankly, thinly veiled excuses for avoiding bedtime. We're working on making sure he is tired enough to sleep at bedtime and teaching him that even if he doesn't feel like sleeping he has to lie there with his eyes closed and try anyway.)

We gave up naps around that time, completely, b/c bedtime was getting to be a struggle and take longer. I had also read about the tokens (I had heard to give them 2 or 3, and you can make up some colorful ones and number them, so it can be like a real game). And he gets to use that many, and only that many. I might try that if you think he still needs his nap.
