Fevers spiking along with a sore joint (knee) brings to mind systemic arthritis. They thought my DD had it at 19 months, turned out to be "regular" juvenile arthritis. But it's rare - so it's highly unlikely that's the case. I hope you get an answer!

She hasn't complained about her knee since Thursday...do you think that should be something we should look into?

My 2 year old just had a 4 day long unexplained fever, no other symptoms, no UTI or ear stuff. She would bring up various body parts as hurting, which I chalked up to aches.

Hers turned out to be Roseola. The rash doesn't show til the fever breaks. 48 hrs later, in our case. Once the rash shows its supposed to last for 2-3 days, and no longer contagious. Super grumpy though!

The other possibility the dr gave us was 5th Disease. The rash pattern was def Roseola though.

Good luck!

That was us last weekend... fever and no other symptoms. I thought it was his molars coming in, but that wouldn't cause a 104 fever... and he ended up having strep. He was dehydrated so that's what was causing the pain in his joints.... I hadn't even thought of that.

Hugs. I hope she feels better soon!
