Default Cuisinart Ice cream maker recipes

We got the Cuisinart Pure Endulgence Ice Cream maker as a gift and we love it!! We have made strawberry ice cream (so-so), cookies and cream (omg!) and chocolate (omg!). What other flavors do you like to make? I get the recipes off of the cuisinart website. We also did frozen vanilla yogurt....so-so! The best part is that DS is on the feingold diet so I love using my own fresh, natural, organic ingredients!!!

If I remember correctly they spoke about jeni's ice cream. I just did a google search and came acrsoss this: http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipe...Ice-Cream-Base

hope that helps!

I got one of the costco cuisinart ice cream makers and have only played around with the recipes in the manual. However, just FYI in case anyone is wondering, I substitute have of the heavy cream with coconut milk and it still tastes great. So, if you prefer to decrease the amt of dairy/cream in the ice cream it is a good substitute. I may try eliminating the cream all together to see how it does.

I don't remember if you LC-I think you do?

We just made this PB recipe the other night and it was GOOOOOOOD.

http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/201...uten-free.html

She has lots of other recipes as well. If you don't want to make it LC for your DS, I'm sure you can just play around and use whatever sweetener you like for your family.

FWIW, we didn't prechill or freeze afterward, and it came out nice and whippy and yummy (eta: our freezer insert thingie had been sitting in the deep freeze for a long time so it was very, very cold to begin with, which probably helped).
