Chicago Children's Museum or Shedd

Can anyone give some comments on the Children's Museum in Chicago? We will be there several days but only one day with DN. We are debating between taking her to Shedd or the Children's Museum. Any recommendations? I've read reviews about the Children's Museum which people seem to like and then some reviews about lack of cleanliness.. DS is 4 and DD/DN are both 2.

My DS is almost 4 and I've been to both of those places before he came along. If I were taking him, I would go to Shedd. It's spectacular, a world-class aquarium. But he also absolutely loves aquariums and anything to do with ocean creatures, etc. He has loved them since he was a baby. Other kids who aren't that into it may prefer the Children's Museum.

I'd say Shedd, not that the children's museum is bad I've just been to many that are better.
