Holy cow, this thread makes me want to eat a large bag of choc. chips.

It's a good thing I don't have anywhere to go where I have to bring a dessert.

I don't eat chocolate (caffeine allergy) so my dessert options are somewhat limited. My favorite super-easy and yummy summery treat is yogurt pie. Mix one tub cool whip with 2 8 ounce cups of strawberry fruit-kn-the-bottom yogurt. Dump into a prepared Graham cracker crust. Decorate the top with several sliced strawberries. Chill in the fridge about an hour before serving. Yummmmmm....

Default Ideas

More 'adult' oriented - Margarita Pie - LOVE IT!
http://homecooking.about.com/od/dess.../r/blpie27.htm I made it booze less before with margarita mix. Taste it to make sure you have the right amount of lime

Hot Dog Cake - so easy and so cute (and the kids loved their first Twinkies)
http://homecooking.about.com/od/dess.../r/blpie27.htm

Smore Pie
Graham Cracker Crust
Fill with Chocolate pudding pie filling
Top with marshmellows or fluff
Put in oven on broil to brown the marshmellows, or use a torch to toast

Oreo Cloud
Oreos
Cool Whip
Milk
Same as the chocolate chip thing mentioned, dip oreos in milk, layer in pan, put in layer and repeat

Brownie Dream
Layers of chopped brownies
Chocolate pudding
Cool Whip
Chocolate chips
For a small group do in in a beautiful clear dish, for a big group just make it in a big aluminum pan - the pan is always empty at the end of the night!

Ice Cream Sundaes

Ice Cream Treats - my kids are SHOCKED to know I know what a Push-up, Strawberry Shortcake Bar and Bomb Pops are. I filled a cooler one night for a family event with ice cream novelty items and it was a huge hit!
