Default Who else is eating paleo/primal these days?

Is anyone else doing a paleo/primal eating lifestyle these days? I've slowly moved that way over the past two months and am really loving most aspects of it - especially how much energy I have (I have as much energy now at 7 months pregnant as I do when not pregnant which is a big change from a few months ago). I also feel really great mentally - it's like my brain chemistry got a huge boost from the way I'm eating now.

The only two downsides are these:
1. Higher grocery budget (just no way around that with no grains in the diet)
2. More time cooking in the kitchen (no way around that when you can't buy most stuff premade anymore)

I do love the meals we're cooking - I especially love the recipes from www.theclothesmakethegirl.com's cookbook. I can't believe how satisfied I feel after each meal - stuffed and SO FULL yet it's all healthy food that looks and tastes gourmet.

Just wondering who else out there is doing it to, what your reasons are, and how it is working for you.

I am sort of leaning towards starting to eat Paleo. One thing that is sort of holding back is that DS is a very picky eater. How are your kids adjusting to the change or are you making different meals for them?

I started a couple of weeks ago, but ended up with strep throat this past week and now we're traveling....so I guess I'll be starting over this week. I'll check out that cookbook, thanks--I'm struggling with finding things to eat.

Super interested in this... I have rosacea and a friend was telling me she's heard people say theirs was majorly helped by the Paleo diet.

My kids both love it - they're actually far less picky now than they were with my regular cooking (which used to be from the 6 O'Clock Scramble cookbooks). I did change things slowly - first changing just dinners but leaving their lunches and breakfasts the same. They both love the dinners (for the most part) and it's easy to find kid-friendly paleo recipes. You can also check out www.paleoparents.com for more kid recipes.

After I got dinner under control, then I started not buying non-paleo foods for breakfast/lunch and swapping them over. The kids were fine with it since they still get foods they like.
