Default Bath toys

We need some new toys. What do your 4 or 5 year old's play with in the tub?

We are a major ducky family, but my DS is only 3.5. He's currently on a pirate ducky rotation, and I bought him a pool toy pirate ship, and the boy is in pirate heaven! He also has a couple of pool toy dinosaurs I found at Target, and they help man the ship, too. You might try bath crayons. I used to love them a million years ago!

empty yogurt and peanut butter tubs we have some stacking cups, plastic boats and the Green Toys tea set, but they seem to love the empty containers the best.

i've been through a few rounds of bath toys, bc they seem to get moldy. i like that the green toys dish sets are smooth plastic, so no places for water to hide and mold to grow.

Green Toys are SO great in the tub for exactly the reasons PP stated!!! We also use empty plastic containers, particularly if they pour or squirt water out in an interesting way (example: the bear-shaped bottle for honey, with the lid on; or an empty cinnamon spice container). Measuring spoons are a hit with the girls (they make cakes in the bath). Foam blocks are fun because they stick together satisfyingly when wet - sometimes you can float an entire small structure and they'll stick to the sides of the tub too.

Do they like Nemo? Brought home a Nemo pool toy from Target that swims around and DS lives it. Actual age for it was 4.

We have the foam letters that cling to the tub and shower wall. DS loves to "spell" things and ask me to make words for him.

I totally agree with the PP about the water wheel. I bought the one with the sand toys at Target. DS loves to play with it in the water.
