I don't think it's weird at all. Wearing form-fitting (where you want it form fitting) clothes makes you look slimmer, taller and just overall more pulled together. And of course, you can't wear form fitting clothes without a good bra, structured jacket and belt make things look more form fitting. So this goes along with what others have brought up, too.

Agree about shoes! That's what I'm focusing on now for a more polished image at work. THinking that I'm just not young enough to pull of open toe and sandal looks anymore. I'm on the hunt for wedges and closed toe styles of pumps. Even typing this makes me feel old (er) than I think I am.

Agree about bra too, esp after nursing 2 children!

Wearing well fitting clothes! Baggy clothes that don't fit, incl. Too big nursing bras, were making me look dumpy

Eat: ha! I added my reply before reading the other responses, but I guess we're all on the same page, lol.

Taking time a few times a season to try on items in my closet and create pre-planned outfits and take note of what works and what doesn't.

Hmm, now there's an idea. I always hate the change of season bc I can no longer wear my known cute outfits, and have to figure out what will work in the new season.

Very good idea. I'm at a loss now that the weather is nicer, except for my summer outfits from last year

I didn't notice we had so much in common when we met up! ditto on the above, except I'm not much of a makeup gal. When I do wear it, I feel so much more sophisticated! A great haircut totally changes my look for the better, for sure.

Ditto that. And clean head of hair . Surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but for me a great pair of sunglasses makes me look so much more pulled together, too.

I wear makeup almost every day (powder foundation, eye shadow, blush, mascara, and lipstick), and unless I am going to the gym or the market on a Saturday or Sunday AM I do not leave the house without mascara on. My makeup comes from Mary Kay or the department store. It is a habit I got into pre kids and I just can't let it go!

Good skincare items make a huge difference! I don't get facials or see a dermatologist on a regular basis so I usually splurge on Lancôme, Obagi, Clinque, and Estee Lauder.

Another fan if shoes. I have large wide feet so finding comfy non old lady looking shoes is very important to me. Shoes are also important to me because they make the outfits and since I am purposely limiting my wardrobe because I am 20lbs over my ideal weight I don't want to be spending too much money on new clothes.

Another fan of not wearing baggy clothes.

Another fan of good underwear. I am a 36a/b and after 5 yrs. of looking I finally found a great tee shirt bra that works for me. I seriously feel like the 34b/c I was pre kids. Love it!

Lve sunglasses! I could have 10 pairs and still want more!

Ok, do tell! Although the only time I even approached a C cup was when I was preggers, I could use a little lift! I am always on the lookout for a great tshirt bra! Please share your find.
