Default Grown Up Sunscreen Stick (To Protect a Recent Scar from the Sun)

I just had my thyroid removed and have a scar at the base of my neck. It's healing well but I know I need to keep it protected from the sun. I would like to get a bunch of sunscreen sticks to keep in my purse, work bag, bag I carry with kids, etc. Can you recommend yours?

I've used the neutrogena baby and banana boat stick varieties on myself and like them all.

Well, I just use what I have got for the kids. So far Purple Prairie blends in the easiest for me of the ones I have tried. But I do think the Badger stick works better on us and it is smaller (bad when trying to apply to screaming children, good for stashing in purse, etc). Do you care about the EWG rating? (I tend to care a lot for the kids stuff but not much for me.)

I have used the Neutrogena pure and free baby stick ... on the kids and myself. It works well for us.

After I had my knee surgery I always wore old fashioned lifeguard style zinc on it for the 1st two years because it's a physical blocker. It worked extremely well, but I don't know that that's a good alternative for an area that's likely to rub on clothing.

For my face I always carry a California Baby stick in my purse. It's been great for my nose especially but I'm not using it on a scar so IDK how it would work for you.

I am pale and have freckles. I haven't found any stick yet that has completely blocked the sun. Is there anyway you could wrap something around it? Like a scarf?

Thanks guys. I ordered a few different options recommended above. I have some CA Baby sticks I use on my boys but I can't say I love it.

CRL, totally agree with you. I use numerous toxic products on myself (shampoo, mascara, nail polish . . .).
