they also have some keen look alikes at kohls. all my dc love keens. i buy them in the winter, for about $20. (not that it helps now..but if you like them, check around nov )

I had the same problem with the day care for my two girls. I ended up going to Macy's, who have a variety of children shoes, girls and boys. The service I got was great and my two girls just loved there new sparkling shoes.

the last couple years i've gotten DD Stride Rite closed toe sandals and we LOVED them! they were machine washable too.
