The basic question here is do blueberries help or cause constipation?
I'm just curious!

I don't think they're binding. I do think they can cause a dipe rash on a really young baby.

I was thinking they were more of a fiber source, but I honestly can't remember.
Ds will 9 months old on Sat. He's done fine with pureed blueberries, but I haven't just tried an actual berry. He has some minor issues with constipation, so I just didn't want to make it worse.

I know they will for sure make it nearly black, which is frightening at first sight.
I think they help constipation because they have a lot of fiber in them. When DS was having trouble we were just told to avoid appelsauce and bananas
not at all constipating!

i've never experienced constipation with ds, and he could eat a whole pint in one sitting. the poop comes out jet black, though, and stains his tush big time.

My experience is that blueberries cause the opposite of constipation. DS ate tons of blueberries right before we went on a long overseas flight. Let's just say I became very familiar with the changing table in the airplane bathroom.
I have vivid memories of my DD eating about a cup of blueberries one evening and the dark purple almost black poop the next morning. Definitely not binding with her.

Since one just does not simply walk into Mordor, I say we form a conga line and dance our way in.
Excuse me, are you in a play?
