Help please! I am looking for a combination seat for my 3yr old. I have to give her Blvd to her little sister because she is outgrowing her infant seat. I figure I would get a combination seat and then I won't have to worry about another seat for her. She is a tiny thing - only 27 pounds and 36 inches. We went to BRU and she liked the feel of the Frontier and the Securekid. I was leaning toward the Frontier - but am having a hard time justifying the price when she is just as comfortable in both. Does anyone have any any positive or negatives about either seat. Any help will be much appreciated!

I don't know that much about the SecureKid400, but I did read a little of the reviews on car-seat.org, there was a lot of concern with head slump but not sure if it's a issue IRL. The straps may be a little twisty and I don't know how tall of a booster it will be.
Honestly, for a seat that you are going to keep for a LONG time I'd go with the Frontier, the proven track record and durability, ease of washing the cover are big pluses in my mind. It does make a great tall booster WHEN you need in about 4 years. Also, if you DD likes color the covers on the Frontier are nicer. |

I have the Fromtier 80, and I know that is a completely different monster than the more more easier to use Frontier 85, but the main reason we got the Frontier because at the time it was a more solid feeling seat than the Graco Nautilus. We got the seat for DD1 when she was 3 yrs. old, 30lbs, and 38" tall. She was very comfortable in the seat. We tried it as a high back booster at 5/1/2 (44" tall, and 40lbs), and it was hard for her to buckle, but the 85 could be easier.
Lhafer posted some photos a couple of weeks ago of her daughter in the 85, and the Nautilus. It might help to see photos of other kids in the seat as well. |

We have the 85 Frontier. We love the seat. The Evenflo is nice, but not as nice as the Frontier. I really like the recline the Frontier has when in harness mode. We have been using it for a year and 4 months.

Thanks everyone! I now feel good about getting the Frontier.
Does anyone know of any good deals on them? |

I think Diapers.com has 25% off Britax seats this weekend.

BRU has the Onyx one for $229 this weekend, too.
