Default Any deals on Duplo legos?

I bought DS a bucket of duplos and he loves them. DD has been playing with him too and they really need more to actually build stuff. The bucket I bought was $26, would really like to get a better deal on more sets. I've checked my local craigslist with no luck. Anyone bought duplos on ebay?

Default bulk buy on lego education

Although expenseive, we bought a generic bulk set on legoeducation.com and it's been one of the best used toys in the house. Worth every penny! Our 7 yr old still regularly uses with younger brothers:

check craigslist and garage sales. i bought DD a huge box full last year at a garage sale for around $20. I washed them with bleach and let them dry in the sun. Perfect!! she loves them, and I didn't spend a lot of cash.

The problem with buying on ebay is the shipping is a lot. I haven't found any auctions worth bidding on where the shipping was less than $20. Not sure why people don't try and see how many blocks will fit in a flat rate box

I would be sure to get a base plate if you dont already have one. Completely changes what you can do with duplos. I got mine on amazon for $15.

I started out with a pretty big set, BUT scored on another big set for only like $5 at a yard sale last yr. I figure it will be perfect for DS3's playdates next yr. Lego are IMO so outrageously over-priced when they are new. I often see them at yard sales and thrift sales for dirt cheap. If I were you, I'd wait to find duplo at yard sales to add to your collection and in the mean time, go ahead and stock up on regular sized legos if you see them at yard sales, even though he is still young. That way, when he's old enough to transition to the regular sized ones, you're all set w/o spending a fortune.
