So, we have a two year old and a five month old, and we still seriously feel the need to have a video monitor on the two year old, as well as the baby. (How on earth my mother every lived without this invention is beyond me!) We've tried Lorex and the Summer brand, and both have already died, and they are super expensive! Any tips?

i had this issue with my kids and i concluded that there was no good dual-video monitor solution (IMO)..i looked into the Lurex and others and they all had lots of negative reviews, and most of them had poor resolution. so we made our own solution.
we put an IP camera in each kids room. there is an iPod/iPhone app to view it (and control it) from there, which is kind of cool (i also see it from my computer, any web browser). we use Sony baby calls monitor for the audio.this is a screen capture from my iPod. the resolution is really good IMO, better than any video monitor i've ever seen. it's pretty awesome..we've had the cameras for over a year (DS's camera, over 1.5 years). i know some people use it as a nanny cam too, since u can see it from your iPhone. eta: don't remember exact model but i think this is or is similar to the ones we got. http://www.amazon.com/Foscam-FI8910W...foscam+fi8910w Last edited by ♥ms.pacman♥; 06-30-2012 at 11:32 PM. |

*bumping* for other suggestions on two camera solutions. I like the ipad/Iphone idea but we don't own the Apple products. I'm still exploring dedicated devices and would prefer one device for both audio and video.
Thanks! Last edited by mikala; 08-01-2012 at 04:14 PM. |
