I want to add a mattress to the pnp for more comfort. Are these my only 2 options? I really like the idea of the folding mattress, but it's sooo $$$.

I got mine from walmart.com. Looks like a little cheaper. IIRC we folded it in half to travel with it several times and it did fine... I think it is still behind the laundry sorter in our room. And DD is 4. And the pack n play is in the attic!

What I did was add the TLC PNP mattress pad (got from BRU for 19.99) on the PNP mattress and then topped with a thick padded velour sheet (Carters I think). Helped a bunch with softness.

I intend to use the PnP instead of a bassinet. I plan on getting the dream on me foam mattress for the PnP, do you think I need a waterproof pad as well? Also I read that if you use a mattress in the PnP, you need to use regular crib sheets?
If you used a waterproof pad with your PnP which did you use and what crib sheets do you recommend? Thanks so much for your help!
