HELP please!! RA constantly tilts

I have a 2005 Britax RA, and it is constantly tilting to the side. It tilts away from the window (not sure if that is important to know.) I am always readjusting the seat by pushing my knee into the seat and pulling the seat belt as tight as possible. I then lock it into place with the RA "lock" on side. Still, it continues to lean..bad. What can I do?? Oh, I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and my 2 1/2 yo DS is FF. Thanks for any help!!

I assume you are also locking the seatbelt? (pulling it all the way out then it slowly retracts in it's locked position). Skip that, just get the lapbelt super duper tight, lock the lockoff with the shoulderbelt in it, and voila, it should stop tipping (a 2002 explorer should have LATCH, too...why not use that? and always always use the top tether for a forward facing carseat)

my 2002 explorer didn't have LATCH, so if you bought it new in the later part of 2001 or early 2002 don't be surprised if yours doesn't either!

Thanks! I forgot SUV's got a lot of exemptions that first year or two!
