Special breasts

As a mother of daughters, this conversation made me very happy.

So the other day, Becca discovered her nipples. "What's THAT?" I explained that they were her breasts. Gwen lifted her shirt and said, "See, I have breasts too. Becca has breasts, I have breasts, and Mommy has SPECIAL breasts."

I said, well yes, mine are different since women's breasts are larger than those of little girls.

Gwen replied, "Yeah, mommies get special breasts so they can feed babies. When I'm a mommy, I'll get special breasts too, so I can feed my babies."

I hope that's true for her. I feel very blessed that I was able to have a good nursing relationship with both my daughters, and I hope they'll be able to do the same for their children.
