3-Way Crib from Legacy

My husband and I are trying to decide whether to get a 3-way crib from Legacy.. it turns from crib to toddler day bed into full size bed. Has anyone bought one and do you like it?? They're a bit more expensive than regular cribs but is it really worth it?

The cribs you are referring to are from the "Millennium" series. These are Child Craft's <http://childcraftind.com> best selling cribs. They're the ultimate in truly convertible cribs because they provide the best looking "real" beds. Are they worth the money? They are if you take advantage of their capabilities. Keep in mind that you'll be making a commitment to a program that could be interrupted by future events. Following are three scenarios where this crib will proove to be a sound investment.

(1) You're living in a home with plenty of bedrooms and it's likely that you'll be staying there indefinitely. You can now afford to invest in not only the crib, but the entire bedroom set. You're confident that you'll be satisfied with the style and finish you've selected for the next twenty years. Should another child come along, he or she will get a different set with the same plan of extended use.

(2) You're expecting your first and last child. It will be a medical impossibility to have another. You are fully committed to the use of the full size bed and this is where your child will sleep until it's time to go off to college.

(3) You're rich! Spending $600.00+ for a crib is no big deal and if you never use it beyond the crib stage, who cares!

If you fit into the above scenarios, you're a good candidate for a top quality convertible crib. If not, consider all the events that can interrupt your plan of getting the most out of your investment.

(1) You're 1st child (a boy) is 18 months old and another one is on the way. You begin to think about how foolish it will be to have two cribs when only one child is at the crib stage. You decide to get the older child a bed and use the convertible again as a crib. You're plan is now to use the convertible as a bed for the 2nd baby. As luck would have it, you're blessed with another son. You now decide to get bunk beds so the two boys can share a room.
