Default Question about Kolcraft matress from Target

I have checked this out in person. I am actually planning on getting a colgate matress because I want to use the matress for children I may have later. So I am wondering if the kolcraft will hold up or should I just spend the extra money now and have a mattress that will last?

I have the Kolcraft mattress and love it. It's super light (easy to change sheets) and is nice and firm. We've had ours for 17 months now and it still looks and feels brand new. There's no sagging anywhere on it. I highly recommend it. Babies and toddlers really don't weigh that much so they don't put much wear and tear on it. Now if a 120lb person were sleeping on it every night then that would be a different story, but an 8lb newborn or even a 30lb toddler is not going to put a dent in it. I even heard that they're on sale right now for $19.

We have the Kolcraft mattress and so far I love it! Now that DS doesn't mind sleeping flat on his back (he slept in his bouncer for the first 2 months home!) he sleeps really well in his crib. I also love that it is so lightweight. I just take the whole mattress out for sheet changes. Seems to me that it will hold up well, and I could buy 2 more Kolcrafts for the price of the Colgate if it didn't!

I'm not sure. All the Targets in Austin have them on sale. However they may not be onsale for the same price at every Target. All three in my area have different sale prices on their baby gear now.
Maybe call first.

Checked a local target. They were all out, because they said they were on clearance. Will check some other stores as well. They had lots of other good stuff on clearance though!

Kenda-

This is the mattress that we have and I love it. It is light and has not flattened at all. My baby is about 20 lbs and sleeps through the night w/o any problems on this mattress. Just FYI, if you live in the midwest, and can't find this mattress at target, "meijers" stores do carry it, and it's even a few bucks cheaper.

We have this one as well and love it as well. We are only planning on one child so we really didn't want to spend a fortune on one. I was interested to see that our daycare provider (a local church) uses those mattresses as well.
