Fshew! I'm back on the boards! Now I have a question. Abigail has been wearing Robeez, which we love to pieces. I'm looking for something warmer, though, for those really cold days. Ideally, it would be some kind of shoe or bootie that actually stays on. :) I've seen Padders booties and they're really cute. Does anyone know a good online source? Are there other brands I should know about? The windchill is -20 here (grrr), so we're stuck in the house, but on the off chance we ever go anywhere ever again, I want her to have toasty toes. Thanks!

I believe Lands End has some slippers and infant socks on their website. I was just ordering Arielle rainboots over the weekend (dreaming of Spring!) and noticed them. I have worn LE polartec slippers and slipper-socks, and if the infant ones are anything like the adult ones, they are snuggly warm!!
I've also seen booties/slippers at Target and Old Navy, but they prob aren't as warm (but cheaper I would think). Arielle also got a pair of shoe-slippers from One Step Ahead last winter, but the sizing was off and by the time they fit, it was summer!! Hope this helps! PS--was there a glitch w/ the boards this afternoon? I tried to get on earlier and couldn't load up the page :( -Rachel Mom to Arielle Jill, 10/30/01 |

I saw some sheepskin Robeez inserts on eBay - has anyone tried those? Do they help keep baby's tootsies warmer??

The only online site I have seen padders is their site www.padders.com and ecobaby.com. I ordered some from them around christmas. I like them alot and I just got a spring catalog from them and they have some really cute styles. Do you like your Robeez? I joined the co-op on yahoo, but I did not ordered any this round I could not make up my mind. Can they wear them outside when they are walking? I was thinking about getting some for Summer.

I LOVE the Robeez. A friend of mine has them for her toddler, and he wears them everywhere. I'd think they'd wear out quicker outside, but they work. I think Bobux is another option. Thanks for the Padders info!

Are Robeez the brand that are w/o laces? You can only order online, right? How easy are they to get on/off (for mommies/daddies that is :) )? I have Stridrite shoes for Arielle, and they run about $40--pricey! They do have outlets, but they hardly ever have the new-walkers on sale though...
Just wondering for all of you who order shoes online, do you find they run true to size? -Rachel Mom to Arielle Jill, 10/30/01 |

Robeez can be seen at www.robeez.com. We haven't gotten our first pair yet (ordered through the Yahoo co-op) but they look very easy for Mom and Dad to slip on and off.
The co-op sold the pairs for $13.50 each - you can join the next order by going to www.yahoo.com, clicking on Groups and searching for RobeezPleez. Lori & Colin 9/28/02

Shoo Shoes (www.babyshoes.com) has really cute and warm fleece lined
leather booties - http://babyshoosinc.goemerchant7.com...ExpandedDepts= We have the pink striped sneaker-shoes and lavender padded leather flower shoes both of which we get almost as many compliiments on as DD's gucci loafers :-) (sooo cute, but not ultra-warm) Good luck. Hope it warms up. |

They are super easy for us to put on/take off, but not for Ds! I think retail on their site is $22 plus $5 shipping. I like them a lot and they have a size chart in inches, so you can measure your child's foot length and get the appropriate size.

Hi Lori -
I just searched Yahoo Groups for the co-op, but nothing came up. Can you help - post the link maybe? Thanks! Vicki |
