Why did I have to see it?
Which colors are appropriate for a boy who everyone thinks is a girl? ;) He has a lot of curls, long eye lashes and is kind of "pretty" looking. I guess blue is the obvious choice, huh? Kris |

I got the green one with the blue shirt and pants for Andrew and last year he had the red one (it was puppies last year) and no one thought he was a girl. Over the summer he wore orange too, but I dress him in all colors.
Edited b/c I wrote the post before I was fully awake and did not make any sense. Andrea mom to Andrew 8/14/02 |

I got Gannon orange, and I have to say...It does look a little girly on him. But I am in orange outerwear overload (coat, hat, vest, etc, all bright, orange cone orange!), so there was no way I was going to deny him. :) I think your safest bet would be the blue.

Would someone please post a link to this jacket? I have looked all over the site and cannot find it. Thanks!

Thank you Andrea! That jacket is adorable. I live in SoFL, so I can't justify buying a jacket for dd, when it doesn't really get cold enough for coats and such. Otherwise, the little bear sherpa jacket would have already been delivered to my house!

The only thing I like about living in Chicago is being able to wear cute coats. Andrew has the sherpa jacket and giraffe one :).

I also LOVE dressing him in bright colors - why do boys have to dress in dull colors, right? That's one reason that jacket is so appealing to me.
I was just thinking that, since he would be wearing this a lot, I didn't want to deal with all the girl comments LOL Though I've come to think of it as a compliment! The other day he was wearing an orange and yellow absorba outfit with chicks on it, and someone who KNEW he was a boy (from gymboree class)asked if it used to be DD's outfit as it was girly. It wasn't pink or lavender, with no flowers in sight. what? Then again, she had an armful of those deadly dull gymbo boy's clothes so what does she know, right? ;) Kris |

Ryden has it in the blue and he still gets the girly comments :(
My own sister the other day said he looked like a girl and he was wearing a pale green l/s tee w/ denim overalls w/ a little puppy on them. To me the outfit screamed baby boy. I saw a baby onesie somewhere that said "I'm not a girl!" I should have bought it and have him wear it every time we leave the house! |

I picked up a knock-off of this jacket at Kohls a couple of weeks ago. Instead of a Giraffe it had bears on it and it was in the same color Red as was on the website but still had the little multi-color tags on the hood. I also got him bright blue contrasting cargo pants to wear with it. We went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and no less than 6 people thought DS was a girl. DH wanted me to burn the jacket by the end of the day. Thank God it was only $9 instead of the $48 that I would have spent if I went for the HA one!
