Lori!!!! (Re: Striped Zipper)

Well, I went to Oak Brook this morning and got lots of great stuff!! They are claiming that they do not have the striped zipper in ultimate blue/light blue in 90. I did get the navy in 90 just in case. Let me know if you would like it. It is not a big deal to return it since I need to head back there anyway. I even asked them again on the phone just now when I called about something else. I mentioned the drawers Carolee said it was in and she said she had checked there. So, let me know about the navy. It was $14.

And, as long as I have your attention, could you give me your opinion? I bought the Zoo Pals in red in a 70 for ds for this fall. He is tiny (5th % weight, 10th % height - currently 27 inches). I am second guessing myself wondering if I should have gotten an 80 instead. What do you think?????

Mary, totally OT, but I love the new pics of Lane! The portrait of him chewing the Santa hat is just precious!! He looks like a little scamp too hiding under the couch. What a cutie!! :)

And on the Hanna subject, so jealous of all you Chi-town mamas so close to Oak Brook. I *love* OB! Have to admit I am counting the days until mid-March when we go to visit the ILs who live in Michigan City. Yay--Hanna outlet here I come! :)

Hi Mary,
I know that you didn't ask me, but Charlie currently wears the Zoo Pals jacket in a size 70, even though he wears an 80 in pretty much everything else Hanna, and I think it will make it through the winter no problem. He's been pretty much exclusively in that jacket, except when DH takes him to Montrose Beach for the dogpark, when he wears his snowsuit. So, the jacket is pretty warm. He is currently 22.5 pounds and maybe 29.5 inches (gigantic, basically). So, if you're looking for spring or early fall, I think the 70 would be okay, but otherwise I think you may want an 80 - if you were going to use it as Lane's winter coat. But then again, it runs pretty big, and the sleeves roll down, which helps quite a bit. I don't think Oakbrook had any 80's, but I was thinking about going back there (I've literally lost my mind), so maybe I'll check....

You're too funny. It's amazing how this type of thing can drive us crazy and make us second guess ourselves!

I feel better about what you said in terms of the size. I was hoping to get through fall and maybe early winter with the 70. It sounds like we'll be able to do that. I don't think we'll use it for a 'true' winter coat. I did notice, too, that the 70 Zoo Pals is not much different in size from the 80 chunky hoodie.

Yea, another trip there is in my future too. I was watching them very closely when she was ringing stuff up, but of course I slacked off for the last item and she forgot the 50% off. I guess it's a blessing and a curse. ;)

Okay, call me crazy, but I saw all of them with my own eyes! Tons and tons of them stacked up and hidden away and the first one she pulled out of that drawer was a 90, so I doubt it was the only one. I couldn't understand why they didn't put more out, since they only had a few of that color out. Maybe they're hoarding them? :)

Next time I'm in there, maybe I'll slip open the drawer when no one is looking and grab one for you, Lori. :)

They told me that they are part of the spring line and that's why they aren't on sale, but I don't see them on the website. Maybe they are hoarding them!!

Hmmm. They tell you they are Spring line and not on sale, then they tell Mary they don't have any. Weird. Mine rang up as $28 before the extra 50% so they are obviously on sale. And they aren't in the Spring catalog.

You know what is in the Spring catalog - the blue and red chunky hoodies! Yet they gave 50% off on those when they ring up as the full retail...that is probably an error on their part. Sounds like they are confused!

I'll go later this week sometime and bring my receipt with the price I paid for that zipper and tell them I need another one. And then point them to the drawer. :)
