I need PJ's (12-18 mo) for Jude, and I hope they have some for me (tough search, other posts about it.) A Carter Store just openned in Chicago. An outlet is an hour or so away. I work f-t so whatever I do will need to be on the weekend. Is it worth it to go to the outlet, or should I just go to the store. I just want 3 pairs of PJ's.

I never found cotton one-piece PJs in 12-18 months at the Carter's outlets here in the DC area. In that size they were either/or polyester or 2 piece. BTW - LLBean has some really nice ones on sale right now for $10.95.

I don't know if you are looking for 1 pc sleepers, but I was just at my Carter's Outlet today and they have no 1 pc sleepers (ETA: 12-18 mth size) in cotton for summer. They still have a few fleece ones on sale, but they are pretty picked over. They do have 2 pc. pj's though. Sorry, I've never been to a regular Carter's store, only the Outlet, so I can't compare prices.

I've never found size 12-18 month cotton PJs at the Carter's outlet (we are near both the Gurnee and Kenosha outlets), only fleece or polyester. The prices are sometimes good but usually just average (you can do just as well at a sale at Kohl's).
What kind of PJs are you looking for?

I've never even heard of a regular Carter's store! We have an outlet @ 45 minutes away that I plan to visit soon. I'll report back what I find.

Okay so two hours travel time for 3 pairs of PJ's...vs how much travel time. I guess for me it would really have to be worth it to drive the extra time (when you add up gas and miles on the car and losing at least an hour where I could be doing something else). I guess you need to ask yourself if you ended up paying 20 more total by not going to the outlet would you still feel okay about it. Plus if you have never been to the store you can use it as a fact finding mission. If you planned on buying a lot of things, maybe it's worth your time but otherwise if it doesn't kill you to pay full price, in the end it might be a better use of your time and energy just to go to the new store.

Going to the new store will be a cost savings all around, b/c I won't be tempted by the other outlets!

I only have a Carter's store nearby, so I can't compare the two. My Carter's store is ALWAYS having super sales. I always buy my DD's PJ's there for $9-12. If you get on the mailing list you will receive 20% OFF coupons in the mail to use at the store or outlet. :)

If by outlet, you mean the one in Bolingbrook, I was just there yesterday. I don't think it's worth the drive. I haven't been to the store on North & Clybourn, but I'm going to guess that it's the same on the inside as the outlet in Bolingbrook.
