Default WWYD: Gymbo returns

I finally tried on the Jardin Francais bottoms on Ellen today and they are plenty room, width-wise (and that was even with jammies on underneath) and even around her waist with her big, round belly. BUT, they already look like capris on her. They hit her a little above her ankles. I compared them to the 18-24 pants and there is a good 2-inch difference. In fact, technically according to Gymbo's sizing charts, her height puts her in the 18-24m clothes now, even though she's wearing 12-18.

So, long story long, I have to return the whole outfit--pants, shirt, and hat. Problem is I'm not sure how much I would get back if I returned them.

I used my Gymbo Visa discount along with my enrollment bonus to get them, and earned a GB doing so. I've already used my GB, so would they deduct the GB discount from what I would get back? And what happens to my enrollment bonus? Should I even bother returning it and instead hit swap or eBay? Or return it without a receipt and hope that with the sale, the current price isn't lower than what I paid. All this stuff is NWT so I at least want to get back what I paid for it--but would Gymbo do that?

UGH! I'm so frustrated and sad that they won't fit this fall and completely unsure what I want to do. Any advice?

I'm not sure about all of the $ stuff but I think they look great as capris!
I also think they look as nice (if not nicer with the cuffs down!)

I agree with Sue! I think they would look cute as capris during the fall or with the cuffs down.

If you do return it, I would wait until after the GB redemption period is over. Just in case. I don't know what they'll do about your $10 bonus but I'm guessing they will just give you back what you paid. There's a chance that if you know the clerks really well, they might give you a $10 store credit for the bonus so that you actually get to benefit from it. Who knows? The policies seem to vary so much from store to store!

I say wear them with the cuffs down. I tried them on Eva and the length is just about right now, but I just considered the cuff to be "extra" length. If it were not for the extra length provided by the cuff, I probably would not have gotten them.

You ladies rock! :) I guess she could wear them as capris, but I'm just afraid that they wouldn't fit by Sept/Oct which is when she would start to wear them. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think I may go back to Gymbo and see how much I could get in credit if I returned them w/o a receipt. Decisions, decisions...

When you bought them were they on sale? JF is only 20% off right now, so if you return them without a receipt you'll get store credit for that price and avoid the gymbuck hassle. Also, they'll never know that you used your $10 coupon when you bought them. So unless you paid full price, you would actually come out ahead, because I know you'll easily use that store credit. :) If you decide to return them with the receipt, they shouldn't do anything about your gymbucks. You've already cashed them in, so they aren't attached to your receipt and they can't prove that you have used them. For all they know, you threw them away. Now the $10 off coupon would probably be lost. I would be very surprised if they would give you credit for it.

BTw, I think you should still try to keep the outfit too!

When I redeemed my $10 cert. my VERY nice SA told me to do a separate purchase with one item that I was certain I would keep so that leads me to believe that you lose that credit should you do a return.

I did my gymbucks shopping today I went over the "rules" with her and she said as long as the gymbuck is not attached to the receipt they can't take it away or penalize you. If it was still attached then they would take it.

HTH!!
