I'm a little puzzled and annoyed at Hanna over their pricing. Ally is just moving into size 80's, which Hanna no longer considers a "baby size." The pricing jumps so much between 70's and 80's in the items that are offered in both babies and toddlers/girls sizing.
For example... The playdress set for babies (50, 60, 70) is $44 for the dress AND the leggings. The playdress for toddlers/girls (80-160) is $34 for the dress and $20 for the leggings. That's ten dollars difference between a 70 and an 80. Also, the flower bright dress. The babies comes with a diaper cover and is $38. The toddlers/girls does NOT come with the cover and is $42. I don't see why Hanna can't have a separate price for babies, toddlers, and girls. Heck, for the playdress it would be really easy because the toddler dress has it's own item number! Right now I could buy an 80 dress and pay the same as a 160! Now there's a big gap. I don't think the 80 uses that much more material than a 70, but a 160 definitely shouldn't be grouped with an 80! Does anyone else have this same complaint? I was curious to see if it had ever crossed anyone else's mind or bothered anyone else. Maybe if we all wrote to Hanna about it they might consider it. |

I agree completely! I really wish the playdress came as a combo in 80 and the other dresses with a diaper cover. It does not seem fair unless I am missing something?

I was just thinking the exactly same thing yesterday, while I was going through my catalog!
I believe they used to go until size 80 on the baby combo because we have the summer one. It is just not fair.. They know we will get the leggings to match. |

This is the only reason I haven't ordered the playdress. I think it's darling, but it's just the principle of the thing. Size 80 is supposed to fit 10-24 months. That's still very much a BABY, in my opinion. And since I don't know many 10-month-olds that are potty-trained, I'd think a dress that costs that much should come with a diaper cover (or leggings). To get both the dress and the leggings it's $54, and that's just more than I can stomach for a PLAYDRESS for a BABY!!
Then you thrown in the matching socks for another $12 and this outfit costs more than half the outfits in my own wardrobe. And let me tell you, there's a lot more fabric in MY outfits! |

I also don't get why they can't include the diaper cover in the size 80 dress. Even if the child was potty trained, it would be very easy to get off. I don't like Ally to wear dresses where I can see her diaper. I change enough of them all day long, I don't need to see them when she's dressed up! Even if she has tights on, a nice cover always makes you look more put-together, IMO.
I don't get why if they don't want to "include" the cover, they could always sell it as a separate item. I know they sell the eyelet one, which I will probably buy, but it's just the idea of it that bugs me. |
