I was in a local department store recently and saw that the same brand had a 24 mo & 2T size. I always guessed that 2T was for a 2 year old Toddler. What is the difference between 24 mo & 2t? Does 2T stand for something else.
Thanks! |

2T does stand for 2 toddler. Some brands have both 24 mo and 2T and some brands only have one or the other. You really have to look at the size charts for a particular brand to get an idea how it will fit in either 24 mo (often listed as 18-24 mo) or 2T. DS is currently wearing 2T shorts and mostly 3T tops. Some 2T tops from decent brands that tend to run larger still fit him though.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago.
It seemed that for brands that carry both, 2T is supposed to be the next higher size after 24m. HOWEVER, i also got the response that sometimes 2T fit are smaller than 24m because the co.s assume a 2yo is not wearing a diaper. I'll try to find the thread and will be right back.... :)
