Default Recommendation for boots with "flexible" soles - LONG

After being a huge advocate of flexible sole shoes (post-Robeez phase), I have not put my DD in anything else but preschoolians, soft star shoes, pedoodles, and would consider SKR or Livie and Luca (we just don't need more shoes at this point).
With the winter approaching, I am trying to figure out what to get for DD (almost 20 months), that would provide protection, warmth, but would not go against my "flexible sole is the best" conviction.
I know that preschoolians have boots but I simply consider most of their colors (not styles - styles are cute) just tooo boring and ugly (is is just me or does anything else also think that tan, brown, dusty pink, white, etc. can get too boring for toddler shoes).... anyway ... soft star shoes, pedoodles, and livie and luca do not carry boots.
So.... flexible sole shoes advocates .... what does your DC wear?

Also.... Question No. 2 (related): How much time does a 2yr old spend outdoors playing in the cold weather ... or in other words, should I get her a pair of boots with leather lining, fleece lining, or faux fur lining?
I also remember that SKR carries boots with leather lining as well as faux fur lining. How do they run? My DD is just outgrowing her soft star shoes in 6 and just transitioned into pedoodles in XL (still plenty of growing room left).
Sorry for a long post but I appreciate your collective wisdom.

Default RE: Recommendation for boots with "flexible" soles - LONG

I would probably skip it altogether. Nate would not move every time I put him in boots (for flexible soles, what about wellies w/ thick socks?) in stores. I finally got him a pair of LE's sport boots because they are styled more like a sneaker and he wore them maybe twice last winter (he turned 2 in January and we had a lot of snow here).
