Default re: More snowsuit Q's - Lands End vs. LL Bean

I've been thinking that the Warm-Up Snowsnowsuit at LL Bean is really cute and would be perfect for outdoor play in our snowy cold winters. The problem is that I can't tell from the description online or in the catalog exactly how toasty it would be! On the otherhand, I'm pretty sure that the Land's End Squall Snowsuit would be fine in terms of warmth. Is anyone familiar with both of these products? Do you think they'd be comparable in terms of protection from the cold?

Hi!
I've been researching this like crazy, the warm up snowsuit is not very warm, the Katahdin and the down at LLBEan are much warmer, apparently. Also, Hanna Andersson's snowsuits are very warm. Again, with land's end, the squall snowsuit is warm but not very very warm, the down one is warmer (but more bulky)
Hope that helps!
Ady

The warm up snowsuit and the Lands End Squall ss are pretty comparable. If you're worried about warmth, I'd definitely go with the Katahdin snowsuit from Bean's. It's warmer. HTH

So good to know! I was beginning to lean towards the Squall because I figured that thinsulate would be trimmer - awesome! Thanks!

Just a heads up because I recall you are also from Calgary - check out Mountain Equipment Co-op. I bought an MEC snowsuit (used at Once Upon a Child) last year and it was awesome! If you don't like it then you can always return it without having to worry about shipping.
