Hi,
LE has some adorable fall stuff that i want to get for my DD but i'm not sure how their toddler sizes run. I think i remember ordering some baby sizes that ran big in the past. She is 33" and 23 lbs so i'm not sure if she'll even fit into a 2T. Thanks! AManda |

The baby sizes run a bit big but then they skip 18-24 so the toddler sizes run small (for girls anyway, generally speaking). I've found this to be true for the past 2 years but have not tried any so far this year.
You can call or do a live chat to get measurements, but their size chart should let you know too if they are still cut small. Best, Mary |

LE's toddler sizes run small. Make sure to go by their measurements, not what size your DD wears in other brands. Last year DS wore 3T in both LE and LL Bean which also runs small in toddler sizes, and 24 months, some 2T in all the other brands.

I agree that their toddler sizes run small, particularly compared to their infant sizes, which I think ran big.
My daughter is about 34" and 28 lbs or so and she fits better in 3T in both LE and LLBean. Holli |

My son is 34" and about 26 lbs. He is just starting to wear 18-24M in other clothing, so I bought him the 2T at Lands End. Hopefully that will work.
I'm excited, I just bought him a jean jacket, 2 pairs of pants (including 1 of the climber pants) and a turtleneck for $42, including shipping. This is the first time I've ordered clothes from Lands End. I learned about the overstocks website from this group - so thanks! Michelle Zach (Sept 2004) |

Here's their size chart. It doesn't work from every page so hopefully this helps.
sz height weight 2T 33 - 35 27 - 29 lbs. 3T 36 - 38 30 - 33 lbs. 4T 39 - 41 34 - 38 lbs. 5T 42 - 44 39 - 44 lbs. My DD is a solid 3T elsewhere but needed a 4T (the 3Ts we tried were too small already) this Summer. Best, Mary |

I will also add that my daughter is long in the torso and our #1 problem is always with dresses and shirts not fitting well unless we size up. So, I think body shape impacts this too.

I agree that they are a bit small -- not necessarily cut small, you just need to size up.
FWIW, my daughter is 35" and 27 or 28 pounds. She wore a 3T this summer and it fit perfectly. It fit more like her 2Ts from Gymboree. I really like what we've gotten from there. Everything has worn and washed very well. |

Do you think my DD is safe in a 2T? She's 34.5 in and 25 lbs. We're in TX, so she won't be in fall clothes until late Oct. I wonder if she'll need the 3T for height, but then the waists would be huge?
