Another coat question - Gymboree 4 in 1 coats?

Since the coats are going to be released during Gymbucks, I was thinking about getting DS one of these. Will it be warm enough for a South Dakota winter? The Farmer's Almanac says it's going to be a cold one. ;)

We had one two years ago and I didn't really like it. It was too layered and bulky for the car seat. This year we are going to buy a nice zippered fleece and a squall coat from Land's End. I really love the Land's End coats as they are warm but fit easily under car seat straps. We are in MT and it can get pretty chilly here!
