Default What are my options for dressy coat for a toddler boy?

If it is not too expensive, I like to get a dressy coat for DS (he is 3 years old). What are my options there? I saw a few postings on dress coat for girls, but no boys :-)

TIA!

ETA: How about this one from Old Navy, is it dressy enough?

Wow, thanks Tondi, I was just updating my posting with the Old Navy's toggle coat's picture... I prefer the color black / grey, like the Gap's but the price is better for Old Navy's, and it is machine washable...

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Probably more than you want to spend (but I love this site for "window shopping") at www.olivejuicekids.com.

Default dressy coat for a toddler boy - Olivejuicekids

Hi Mary,

Yes, I love the toggle coat there! But yes, if it were for me, I would buy it (at that price, since it will last many years for me) but for DS where it will only last 1 or 2 years...it is a bit spendy.

Thanks.

I'm a big fan of toggle coats and almost bought that one at Old Navy. Now I am wishing I had! I found a Fieldston wool toggle coat on ebay for a little less than that, but it isn't nearly as soft as the ON one. I don't think you can go wrong with the ON one for the price. I think it can be dressed up or down. DS had a red toggle coat from Osh Kosh that he wore with everything las year.

I just ordered an adorable jacket from Good Lad (can't remember the website). We had it in a size 2 and are buying it again because we loved it so much. It is fleece but because of the style it looks more fancy. Plus, it's great for the car seat because it's not too heavy.

Search for Good Lad fleece pea coat and it should come up. I think it was around $35.

I got this grey toggle coat for DS from Gymboree. It is sold out online, but they still have it in our store. It is currently $27.xx. It is a nice little coat for the money.

O yes, that is adorable. www.shop.com has it for $27.50 from Baby Ultimate.

Are those functional buttons or is there a zipper underneath?

Thank you!

Nope, no zipper, just the double row of buttons. I'm telling you, it's SO adorable! It looks fancy and cute without being uncomfortable or stiff.
