I am breastfeeding but my husband is getting up at night and doing oneof the feedings. Sometimes he is having to use frozen breast milk. I have read that you must thaw it under warm water. However, this takes a bit of time especially for a sleep deprived parent in the middle of the night. Does anyone know if it is safe to defrost the frozen milk in the refridgerator and then just warm the defrosted milk up?

Everythging I have read says it is OK to defrost milk ahead of time, but it must then be used within 24 hours of thawing.
HTH,
