chicco high chair w/"leatherette"

We were going to purchase this high chair with the "Grey Horizon" pattern, but received the "Blue Leatherette" as a gift. Does anyone have experience with the leatherette version? I know the book talks about cleaning problems with the primo pappa leatherette version, but am wondering if that is due to the white color or the actual leatherette covering.
