Has anyone figured out how to put the basket and the handlebar pad on at the same time? I can't figure out how it is supposed to work. Does the basket go over the pad? ...Karen Jacob Nathaniel Feb 91 Logan Elizabeth Mar 03 |

I posted the same question 2 weeks ago and did not get an answer. I also emailed the store I bought it from as well as Kettler. No answer. The answer is probably no then. I can't figure it out. I tried several different ways but it just doesn't work. The funny thing is that I bought it because of another post who said the store owner recommended the pad to keep the basket on. That sounds like the pad first and then the basket. I think it was false info.

that's true. the oopsie daisy owner recommend the pad and the basket otherwise the basket would fall off. dh rigged it up to somehow work, but it doesn't look quite right. would be great to get REAL directions. never mind, we still haven't gotten the handles ALL the way on! we need to lube them up and then slide them on per the instructions someone else gave.

Tammy, did you get the Jumbo or the Happy? I got the Happy and it didn't come with anything to put on the handlebars, or maybe it is already on, they are just yellow pieces already on the ends.
Debbie at Oopsie Daisy told me I would need the pad with the basket too, but I can't figure it out. She said you had to bend the wire to get the basket on and then you'd need the pad to cover the sharp ends, but I can't figure out what she meant. ...Karen Jacob Nathaniel Feb 91 Logan Elizabeth Mar 03 |

Our handle bars have yellow rubbery things at the ends that I assumed were the handgrips? Do the black things (which I apparently don't have) fit over those?

Did you get the happy or the air happy. We got the air happy and we had to put the black grips on (its bare metal without) maybe thats the difference, you wouldn't need the yellow and the black grips.
We took our basket off anyway for the time being DD kept reaching forward to put her hands in it and it made her unstable. I love this trike we've walked to daycare with it everyday for the last 2 weeks. Lucy (DD 3/03) |

no I don't have the Air, I have the regular, so that explains the difference. I think I am going to call Kettler about the basket and pad thing this weekend.
