Default problems assembling kettrike ??

hi -
i rec'd a kettrike (brummi) as a b-day gift for my 2 year old, and am having trouble assembling it. the c clamp thing that goes around the bar coonecting the handlebars so you can steer will not tighten enough, so the handlebars won't steer. and the screw that is supposed to hold the black plasticky thing on (the thing that holds the dump bucket up) does not keep it on the bar - it is like the screw is not long or wide enough to stay in. i called the store, and they are checking another one out, but i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it. (wish i had been able to tell the gift giver about the coop... maybe the jumbo doesn't have these problems...

Default RE: problems assembling kettrike ??

Hi, I have the Brummi too. My DH didn't have trouble putting it together. We did however have trouble with the autofree wheel and the max 45degree turn radius. I emailed kettler and they were very helpful. It turned but DH assembled something incorrectly and the 45degree max turn radius didn't work properly. They pointed out what needed to be done and DH corrected it. The autofree wheel on the other hand is broken on mine and Kettler has already mailed out the part for me.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Sorry I can't be much help. I bought the combi and after opening the box and taking one look called my friend Jim who is a carpenter and had him put it together for me. ;-)
