Default Where is the best/cheapest place to find nice play food?

It doesn't have to be wooden (although that would be nice), just decent looking and decent sized. i don't want to ahve to take out a loan either!!

we have the wonderful Costco kidcraft kitchen (DD got it last week for her birthday and LOVES it!) and now we need food.

TIA!!

Quite honestly, my mom bought Kayla a bunch 'o foods for $10 in the cheapie toy section of Target. It totally does the job and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

If you get a 40% off coupon for AC Moore, that's usually the chepest (though not all locations carry M&D toys). TJ Maxx has toy food, as well.

I agree that a 40% off coupon at AC Moore is the cheapest place to get the Melissa and Doug food, if your store carries it. Otherwise, Marshalls/TJ Maxx also has them. A warning about the M&D food though - they chip like crazy! Ours starting chipping within days of DS playing with them. We also have some cutting food from Brio Plan toys (http://store.yahoo.com/kidsurplus/bri39533710.html ), which are much better quality than the M&D ones.
