Default Kidkraft Lil Gourmet Kitchen (island)

Hello,
I'm looking for feedback on this specific kitchen:
http://www.sensationalbeginnings.com...=G+4+531X&Cat=

Pros/cons, how sturdy, how it compares to the PBK one, and if $99 is a good deal.
Also, any comments on an island style vs. "regular" (where you can push the pieces up against a wall)?
TIA,

I have this (still in box) for DS's Xmas...anyone have any feedback??

BTW, I actually picked it up at my Tuesday Morning for $99.99, I thought it was a good price, maybe not great but good. Would love to hear from anyone who has opened up the box and put it together already. Sorry I can't help more (I have resisted opening it in case I change my mind or find a better deal).

Liz

Has anyone opened this up yet? Does anyone know the counter height? Just wondering if it was teeny tiny like the pink Kidkraft Retro Set from Costco or if it is more in tune with the counter height of the other Kidkraft islands. I prefer higher counter height, versus the shorter height of the Kidkraft retro pink set. Does it seem well made? It's a great price for $75 at Tuesday Morning. Any input would be great.

We have this kitchen!! My girls got it last year from Santa. They absolutely love it. When I get a chance I'll go measure the height of the counter. We got it at TM for $75 and I was thrilled at the price. We have ages 15 mos to 7 yrs playing with it. My 9 yo isn't so interested anymore.

It's very well made, and is very sturdy. Every child that comes to our house gravitates to it, boy or girl. I like the gender neutral colors, too. The pans/utensils that come with it are surprisingly sturdy also. We have been very, very happy with this kitchen.

I'll get back to you after I measure it.

Thanks so much for posting your review of the kitchen! I really appreciate it. That would be great if you could post the counter height. Thanks again!

Have you seen the cute matching fridge? There is a Lil' Gourmet fridge too that would be really cute with it.

Okay, I've measured the countertop. It is 23 1/2 in tall. The total height (including the pot rack) is 42 1/2 in tall. These are estimates, but you get the idea.

A fridge, huh? That would be so cute!! I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip. Oh, and I saw the blue dishwasher at PBK may match and is on sale for $99. Quite a steal for PBK.

Hope the info helps!

Thanks so much! The matching Lil' Gourmet Fridge is on sale at Babyuniverse.com for $40.49. Good deal! It matches the kitchen perfectly!

Hi,
I'm the original poster of this thread & while I didn't end up getting this kitchen, I just wanted to say thank you for your review & measurements! I'm sure that will help others!
