In photos, it looks like the E&A kitchens sold through Nova Natural have clear plastic, rather than metal, bowls in the sinks. Could that be? Did they always?
http://www.novanatural.com/product.p...r=4375&sec=381 ***edited: I just phoned them, and they say they've always had plastic bowls. So I guess my next question is: If you have an E&A kitchen, were you able to substitute a metal bowl yourself? How are the Willow Toy kitchens (sold on ebay)? They seem to have metal sinks... http://cgi.ebay.com/Childs-Wooden-pl...QQcmdZViewItem |

We don't have an E&A kitchen, however I made a play kitchen and it has a metal sink. I couldn't find a plastic bowl the right size and I also thought the metal bowl looked more realistic in my mind.
However.......Never again! Between the small metal Ikea pots and the wooden spoons and every other imaginable toy, it's a racket! So if you can put up the noise, great. Otherwise plastic is the way to go sometimes. Hope this helps you. |

Oh goodness I agree. I have the Land of Nod play kitchen with a metal bowl and my 19mo DD thinks its great fun to see how much noise she can make throwing the bowl on the ground! I'm trying to figure out if there's a way I can secure it to the hole it sits in!

I saw one in a store where they screwed the metal bowl in place through the rim. I don't know that it would be too hard to do with the right drill bit. I haven't done it yet but I agree the thought has passed through my head more than a few times.
