Default Comfy chair for toddler??

DD has been sitting on the dogs’ bed to read her books. I thought it was really cute but this weekend, I realized she wants something comfy to sit on! She cant get onto the couch by herself yet.

I’m not spending the $$ for a pottery barn chair. Any other ideas?? I’m having a brain dead moment and cant remember what the type of chair I’m thinking of is called or I’d do a search. “Chair was too broad!

Thanks

Target, Toys R Us, etc., sell toddler chairs and couches for less than Pottery Barn--but they tend to be "character" chairs such as Dora, Spongebob. Otherwise, maybe a beanbag chair? I don't think those are super inexpensive either though.

We have a Pottery Barn chair and while I convinced my MIL to buy it, I wouldn't have regretted the purchase. After 2 years, my DS is still using it and will continue to...

How about a bean bag chair? We have a big one that DS likes to cuddle up on and "read". We also have a Toddlerock chair, www.toddlerock.com , which has held up amazing well, and I highly recommend if you are looking for an armchair type thing, rather than something floppier, like the PBK chairs.

Try a google search for toddler upholstered chair. You'll probably get some $$$$ listings, but you'll also get some good deals. We have the Oshkosh toddler upholstered chair which we got from Babies R Us, but I'm not seeing it listed currently. It was around $50 and I liked it better than the PB ones because it was more "sturdy" Good luck.

We also have a Toddler Rock, and I would buy another in a heartbeat. It looks great in our living room, and after 15 months of use, it still looks wonderful!

the toddler rock wont work- she doesnt like rocking chairs. I found an awsome upholstored chair at the christmas tree shop that rocked for $30 and she cried in it and wanted OUT.

I'll do the google search or try for a bean bag chair. I was avoiding the bb chair bc I think the dogs will just steal it.

my newest thought is just to toss a pillow onto the dogs' bed and call it good. They rarely sleep there since they have a couch.

Thanks!

Default If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Lately 2 yo DD has also been bringing her books over to the dog bed. She has a pint size arm chair that rocks (I guess the same concept as PP's mentioned) which she does use to watch TV.
Anyway, she loves to lay belly down and stretch out with her books. I'm thinking of just getting her her very own dog bed. I got the dog's original one at BJ's, but have also seen some very cute ones at Target. Here's a cute girly one:

We got one at Target for $40 that DD really likes. It isn't slipcovered like the PB chairs and it definitely doesn't match the decor. But it was only $40 and you can get it in the stores, so no shipping.

ok. dont laugh at me. my dogs dont actually sleep on dog beds.

in the dr, I have a crib mattress w/mattress protector & sheets. sometimes blankets too.

in the bedroom, they have a mini futon mattress. In dd's room, they have a dog bed but its on top of a large foam pillow.

in the livingroom, they have a bed that came from a display in a store. its bunk beds and I only put out the lower bed. so its large, wooden w/a large foam mattress on it. about the size of a pnp - its where I put babies to sleep before I had a crib.

:-)

the princess (my doberman) has a loveseat in the livingroom, but dd cant climb up yet and Ny isnt really good about sharing that spot. She snarks if the other dogs come up and leaves if dd tries to climb up and comes and whines at me. (she doenst do this in other lounging areas).

but I do like the print on that bed :)
