Default I need help buying a Tricycle please

DS turns 2 next month and I would like to get him a trike.
I know he can pedal, but he can't make it all the way around our block so I would like a push bar. A push bar that can be put on and taken off day to day would be extremely appealing.
I think it is likely he will ride in the grass, and on an unpaved surface.

I've seen several mentions of Kiddi-o on the boards, but am having trouble finding them available for purchase.

Is the kettler with air tires my best (only?) option?

Cost isn't a huge concern.

thanks!

we have a Kettler Jumbo. It doesn't have air tires and we've never missed them! We do have sidewalks though so it's not an issue for us. If you have a lot of dirt/gravel to travel over then you might want the air tires! It also makes the trike a bit lighter to not have the air tires and we never have to worry about a flat either. We've been very happy with our Kettler and it is now making it's rounds with child#2.... still looks brand new!

Good Luck

not sure about where to buy the Kiddio these days but we have been very, very happy with ours(the supertrike 4).

I'm not up on where (and if?) they are still available though.

I have seen Kiddio's sold at the independent B&M toy stores in my area (right next to the kettlers even).

We have a big fancy Kettler because we couldn't find the Kiddio at the time. I know I'm in the minority here but I almost wish we had just bought Radio Flyer's Fold n' Go XL (it has a push bar). The Kettler seems too heavy for DD to pedal easily so mostly she just wants to be pushed. I'm pretty disappointed with the steering with the push bar as well. She can at least pedal the Fold n' Go. And for the price of the Kettler, I could have bought several Fold n' Go's. If I could do it again, now that I know where to buy the Kiddios IRL, I'd probably buy one of them. It seems kind of best of both worlds. Great trike at a good price.
