Ok, here's hoping that I'm going to hear the answer I want to hear... A store near us was going out of business (Zany Brainy), and we were able to buy our Marathon there for 30% off. I was thrilled, but not wild about the cover color ("mauvelous"... a brownish mauve). They had a few Britax extra covers for sale that were unlabelled (denim, pretty). I held one over the Marathon on display and it looked like it would fit. After buying it, I searched the web and found out that it's for a Roundabout (at least I'm 90% sure that it is).
We aren't using the seat yet b/c little guy is still in his infant seat. So, the question is this... is there any possibility that Britax has made a universal cover that would fit both? Do you think I could modify the Roundabout cover to fit the Mara? Would it be a safety hazard to do so? Sorry for the long post. Hoping someone can help! |

There is a denim Marathon cover called New Blues. If you try it and it fits, it's got to be for the Marathon--if it was for the Roundabout it wouldn't go on.

It is either a Roundabout or a Marathon cover; there is no universal cover. If it is a Roundabout cover, I doubt that you could make it fit - it would just be too small. But you could sell it on eBay or somewhere else and make money to use towards a Marathon cover of your choosing!
Ah - I just looked at the Britax website. Here's how you can tell which cover it is: the Marathon has a velcro flap that covers the harness adjustor. The Roundabout has an exposed harness adjustor.

Thanks for the advice. DH has packed the cover away in the house and can't remember where... so I'll have to spend some time trying to find it. But if my memory serves me correctly, it did have an exposed buckle/harness area rather than velcro. Bummer. I think I will have to try to ebay it.
