i thought this was a no-no but i've been looking over RF photo albums and it seems like the car seats are bumping up against the driver's or front passenger seats. is that okay?

Yes, it is okay for the rear facing seat to touch the seat in front of it as long as the front seat doesn't push against the rf'ing seat and move it out of place.

I'd think you'd find it hard *not* to have that in some cars! With the larger car seats, I think it's inevitable unless you drive a huge car.
We recently had ours checked by a CHP officer, and got the thumbs up after he tightened it a bit so that it doesn't rock up and down at all. It often touches the front seats, espcially if DH is driving. |
