First, thanks for sharing all your advice and experience. I appreciate it soo much! You folks are the best.
I have two kids - a 30 lb. rear facing almost-4-year-old in a latch Marathon. Then I have a 19 lb. rear facing 1 year old in a non-latch Roundabout. DH occasionally (like once a week) wants to take our older daughter with him in his Outback so I'd like another carseat for this purpose. I'm considering putting the RA in the Subaru and buying a new RA for DD#2 (heehee, my favorite plan!). Or would it be just as well to get a cheaper seat for the Subaru? TIA! |

How about moving the RA to DH's car and buying a new Marathon? That would last you so much longer than the RA, and you could probably skip a belt positioning booster. Plus you could keep the younger one rear-facing that much longer.

I have to second that plan :)
Though...there is the new "Decathlon" coming out quite soon, which is a Marathon with a Roundabout-style adjuster and infant padding...Don't know if you love or hate your Marathon adjuster, but if you can wait, it might be worth it, if you hate the MA adjuster. You could also break down and FF her in the Subaru and get a Graco Platinum Cargo (does the Sub have top tether anchors? Those are the next best way to protect those necks and heads, after RF) :) Julie CPS Tech and mom to 2 in seats http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/RFAlbum/SarahMA.aspx |
