Oooh, I just saw the new pattern for the Companion at Babystyle:
http://babystyle.com/common/dProduct...carseats&cmPG= It's called Oxford, the colors kind of remind me of the Heatwave Snugride, but prettier b/c of the checkerboard pattern. :) My question is this: Are the Snap N Go and/or the Kolcraft Universal carrier 'advanced' enough to accept the Companion? I think we are going to end up with a Combi for our stroller, but don't want the Tyro, so we were thinking of the Snugride/Latch Loc with a SNG, but I like the Companion's height and weight limits (higher than the average bear, yes?) esp. because my hubby is quite tall and I'm afraid any kiddo we have will take after him and outgrow his/her infant seat at about 10 weeks :) Also, does anyone have the Companion? Do you like it? Is it a heavy seat? Thanks much! |

i have the old pattern and just saw the new one. Love it! Wish i had that one! They do fit in the universal things as long as you use the included strap. i tried it out at BRU w/ my companion, but didn't buy one. As far as the seat goes, do a search for old threads and you'll see what we all thought of it. I really liked the safety features and i DID have that big baby i expected to. At his 6 month check up he was 22lbs and 29 inches, so that was the end of the comanion for us. he would have been out of the snugride or a similar sat about at 3-4 months. i am glad i got the companion, but be aware of the fact that it IS a big seat. A little heavier and bigger (10 lbs compared to the usual 7) , so you might want to check it out in person.
