Default Anyone know of a website that has car seat/booster widths in one spot?

Hello eveyone! We have a 4 1/2 year old boy in a high backed booster and a 1 year old girl in a Triumph convertable car seat forward facing. We also have a 2005 Honda CRV.

We are now expecting #3 (not expected, certainly not when we bought the CRV in December!) in the beginning of February. When my DD turned one a few weeks ago and we turned the car seats in both cars around, we tried fitting both convertable car seats and the booster across the back seat. No dice. We even tried a backless booster we keep for rental cars when we travel by plane. Still wouldn't fit.

The Triumph is a wide car seat...the seat for my husband's car, a ComfortSport, is not as wide but less cushy. Now we either need to turn in our one year old car for a bigger one (no minivans per DH!) or find narrower car/booser seats.

So my question is, does someone know of a website or other source of info that has widths of various car/booster seats in one place? Baby Bargains doesn't have the width of all the seats and even the manufacturer websites don't all have the widths listed. We just bought two new seats for our DD, so I hate to give them up so fast, but it's cheaper than a new car!

TIA!
Lara

Did you know there's no rush to turn one yo's forward facing? They are safEST till the weight limits or height limits of the convertible seat (unless she is too tall to have less than an inch of space over the top of her head in the Triumph, which I wouldn't doubt).

Anywho... www.carseatdata.org has seat measurements listed. THE narrowest convertibles are the Cosco Scenera and Britax Roundabout. THE narrowest harnessed combo seat is the Ultra/Platinum/Cherished Cargo, and THE narrowest booster seat is the Britax Starriser Comfy. I've seen folks work a combination of those three seats into just about every single car (the Comfortsport is ok, but has LOW top slots and kids outgrow it way too young, like 2, very often).

Good luck..you can try seats out at Babies R Us or at nicer baby stores so you know what you're getting into :)
