DS got as a X-mas gift a FP Musical Dashboard. It straps to his carseat after he is safely and properly installed. Is this a safe toy? It has a plastic clip and two plastic lights. The front is padded but the inside is hard.
Is this safe for the car or should I save it for the stroller or at home? I would love to use it. It has a remote that I can use to activate it but I don't want to use it if it isn't safe. TIA |

You have to kind of ask yourself, How firmly does it attach? Can you pry it off with a strong pull? (like you're in a crash, that kind of hard fast pull). And then if it does come off, does it hurt when you throw it hard at your head? If it comes off and hurts, then save it for the stroller. If it stays on and doesn't hurt, then it's probably pretty safe (don't jinx yourself by carrying around full toolboxes in the cargo area or axes on the package shelf, cuz THAT can kill people ;) )

Darn it Julie, now *where* am I going to keep my axe? Seriously, though, thanks for answering that, 'cuz I've been eyeing that dashboard up at the consignement shop and I wondered... |

Julie, you kill me
Hmmm, maybe I will DH with it the next time he is being a brat and find out if it hurts! It velcro's on. I will have to try it out and give it hard tug and see. I might cut off the plastic key that attaches to it. |
